When looking at greenhouse gas emissions across the food supply chain, it is mostly animal by-products that can be found at the top of the list, and in the top position are animals used for meat production. Consequently, some countries have developed alternatives to meat as an answer to the growing concerns about global warming.
More French people would be ready to eat insects than to eat cultured meat, i.e. meat produced by in vitro cell culture of animal cells.
